Mandi: We were part of a very large group of people in line at the signing and somehow we got divided by a few people. So rather than shout over the people between us, we introduced ourselves and befrended them. This guy, Anthony, was one of the dudes we met. A really nice guy. Not your usual convention geek. Not to say he wasn't a geek. He was. But he was my kind of geek. And he had really red hair. And roots. Kinda like me.

Jim: Mandi what are roots???

Mandi: This is Anthony's bud, Darran. He and Anthony were suitably impressed with us. They promised they'd post to topcow.com's bulletin boards. To my knowledge, they haven't. Bastards.

Jenny: Nope, Darran did. Looking for the two ladies he had met in line. I told him where to go about calling us ladies, and he never posted again.

Jim: scared off by the power of the crazed fans.

Mandi: Derek Gonzalez does what he's always wanted to do...give David Wohl a big hug full o' love. And given the chance, who wouldn't?

Jenny: I'm not sure Allan would. And I'm pretty sure that Jim and Jay wouldn't. Just not secure enough in their sexuality, I guess. I am perfectly secure in the fact that David is cuddly, and I'd like a little cuddle. Apparantly, so is Derek.

Jim: Well I'm only his 4th biggest fan so I feel we can't cuddle until I work my way up to #2 at least.

Mandi: Derek taking our pizza away. No, really, that was the box we brought the mats in. See, Jenny had this brilliant idea to get these mats cut so she could have her uncut card sheet framed and matted. And she wanted the cows to sign the mats. And being the wonderful, splendiferous woman that she is, she got mats for my uncut sheet as well. Isn't she the coolest? Anyway, the mats turned out beautifully.

Jenny: Yeah, except that I didn't monitor the signing well at all. People that had nothing to do with the book signed them. People signed them upside down and all kerfluey. And some (David) people got really (Finch) bitter about signing it.

Jim: But it's the thought that counts.

Mandi: Poor Jenny didn't get a picture of herself with D*tron this year. I think next time I'll have to force her. She'll make that face but I'm gonna have to do it.

Jim: Next year she goes for beers with us and has the deed done.
